Teen actor, Izuan Fitri’s mother, Nor Abdul Rani is requesting for the public to help with his medical expenses after undergoing brain surgery at Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) earlier this month.
The 57-year-old mother took to her Facebook page to share the condition of her son and said that her expenses had drastically increased ever since Izuan was transferred to the Institute of Respiratory Medicine (IRP).
“Honestly, I am lost. I don’t know how to provide for Adik’s expenses. He needs certain provisions such as a special mattress, diapers, milk and medicines. All of these have to be bought at IPR, unlike when he was at HKL.
“Just these provisions alone already cost thousands of Ringgit, without even considering yet the eventual cost of Adik’s treatment at IPR,” her caption reads.
She added that she had bought Izuan’s medicine for seizures at the pharmacy which costs RM500, which does not include the other things he needed, which in total would cost about RM1,700 a month.
Nor said that she did not have much savings left and it was also hard to get a job considering her current age.
“Who would want to hire me for work at my age now? I was doing business before this but because of the current situation, I can no longer work.
“But despite all that, I will try my best to find the money to pay for Adik’s treatment. But it would be great if I could get some help to lighten the burden,” she said.
She also said that her son is conscious and can move his body, however he just stares at the people around him and no one, not even the doctors know what is going on in his head.
The doctor said that he needs treatment to monitor the development of his health, and will need to undergo several health examinations and wait for a suitable time to conduct a CT scan.
“Adik is silent and only stares at people. We don’t know what’s going on in his mind. He only weighs 38 kg at the moment. I am very sad to see him like a bag of bones,” she told reporters.

Prior to this, the One Two Jaga and Munafik actor was rushed to Hospital Selayang after experiencing a seizure and losing consciousness following a bout of tuberculosis (TB) since July 31st.
He was placed in Hospital Selayang for over a month before he was transferred to HKL for his surgery and was then treated there for three weeks, before being moved to IPR.
