The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) parked a bus in the middle of the highway last weekend to catch a group of illegal racers.
In a special operation on the PLUS North-South Highway near the Skudai toll on Sunday (February 13th), authorities used extreme measures to disperse an illegal racing gathering.

As a result, six drag racers and 120 onlookers were apprehended by the authorities.
The operation, which began at 2 a.m., involved 60 personnel of the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), the Road Transport Department (JPJ), and the Department of Environment (DOE), according to Johor chief police Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat.
Kamarul Zaman said the authorities positioned a bas kilang in the middle of the highway to ensure that all of the racers and spectators, who were aged 18 to 45, could not flee.
After receiving complaints from highway users, the authorities conducted a month-long investigation that resulted in the effective arrest of the six drivers.
"After receiving complaints from highway users about drag racing activities that not only harmed other users but also obstructed the road by closing the road during the race, the police have been conducting surveillance and intelligence over the past months.
"These unlawful racing operations are held on weekends or some weekdays between 1 and 4 a.m., according to police investigations."
