Please Stop Vandalising!

Social media on Friday (23 October) has been flooded with the #ProtesDarurat hashtag after a widespread speculation about the government’s intentions over a proposed state of emergency to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, some have even taken it to the streets with pictures on Twitter showing the #ProtesDarurat posters at various locations in Kuala Lumpur such as around the Kuala Lumpur court complex and LRT stations.

In a Facebook post, Rapid KL advised the public or protestors to not resort to vandalism as a way of expressing their anger at how things are unfolding.

In the statement, Rapid KL said: “It is important that we become responsible members of society and together play a role in preserving public property for the benefit and safety of others. Let’s become world-class city folks!”

Images of the Special Action Team taking down the posters were also shared on their Facebook page.

We’re all for voicing out your beliefs, but not if it’s by vandalism!
