Nine-Year-Old “Guardian Of The Galaxy” Applies Job At NASA!

A nine-year-old boy recently caught the US’ National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)’s attention after he sent them his “cover letter” describing himself as a “Guardian of the Galaxy”!

The space agency was looking for its new planetary protection officer, someone who is capable of guarding the planet from “microbial contamination from other planets.”

A young boy, named Jack Davis from New Jersey, piqued NASA’s interest after he sent them his resume, writing: “I may be nine but I think I would be fit for the job.”

In his handwritten letter, he also listed his other interstellar work experience.

“I have seen almost all the space and alien movies I can see. I have also seen the show Marvel Agents of Shield and hope to see the movie Men in Black.

“I’m great at video games. I am young, so I can learn to think like an Alien,” he wrote.

NASA, of course, replied to the letter and Jack even got a phone call from Planetary Research director, Jonathan Rall!

In the letter, NASA congratulated the little boy on his interest and explained more about the role.

“It’s about protecting Earth from tiny microbes when we bring back samples from the Moon, asteroids and Mars. It’s also about protecting other planets and moons from our germs so that we responsibly explore the Solar System,” their letter read.

Although NASA didn’t offer him the job, it wasn’t an outright rejection.

“We are always looking for bright future scientists and engineers to help us, so I hope you will study hard and do well in school,” it said.

This is adorable! We hope to see Jack working at NASA one day!
