Netizens React To Photos Of ‘Abang Askar’ Monitoring Visitors In The Cinema

Ahh, finally, it’s been a while since we’ve all been to the cinema!

Now that cinemas are finally allowed to operate during the implementation of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) and the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) starting March 5th, the latest SOPs in cinemas are requiring security personnel to monitor all the incoming visitors.

However, a tweet shared by @shahfahzan recently went viral, on the new strict SOPs that require the armed forces and PDRM officers to monitor the visitors in the cinema hall!

He said in the tweet: “I won’t be able to watch this movie peacefully.”

Netizens, of course, couldn’t help but to react to the situation. Here are some of our favourite reactions:

One person said: “What if the movie is funny and I’m too nervous to laugh?”

While another person wrote: “What if you’re watching a horror movie, but you’re not sure what’s scarier, the ghost in the movie or the abang askar standing next to you.”

The tweet has since garnered over 18.8 thousand retweets.

Would you be comfortable enough to go watch a movie, while you’re being monitored by the abang askar and police officers?

Always remember to follow the SOPs, wear a face mask and maintain physical distancing! Stay safe, everyone.
