One man’s effort to transform an abandoned playground near where he lives, in Kota Bharu, Kelantan has earned praise from Malaysian netizens.
The playground, which was once vibrant and bustling with families and children has been left deserted as the overgrown plants in the area grew uncontrollably, as reported by Kosmo.

Not only do children refuse to go to the park and play, but the playground has long disappeared from view for passersby as it was covered in overgrown trees and grass.
“Just last month, this park was bustling with children playing and hanging out together every evening. Now it looks like a reserve forest.
“I saw a young kid recently who was throwing a fit outside the park because he wanted to play in the playground but his mom wouldn’t let him because of the tall grass. It can be very dangerous,” he said.

Due to the thick shrubs and debris everywhere, he said that cleaning the entire area would take up to three days the least.
Malaysian netizens took to social media to share the man’s story and praise him for his efforts.
This is honestly great! Those overgrown grass and bushes could eventually become home to dangerous animals like snakes and rats - and can be dangerous for young children playing in the playground.
