He explained that he double-parked next to a white car belonging to his colleague after being unable to find a parking spot and had to attend to a work matter urgently. He also said he left his contact details on the dashboard in case someone needs him to move his car.

Besides asking people around for information, a shop owner across the street also handed him video footage of the incident. In the video, a woman in a red dress can be seen breaking off his car’s right side mirror and throwing the broken pieces on the ground.

He added that he didn’t know the woman and had made a police report on the incident.

“Yes, I admit that I was wrong for double-parking, and I’ve informed the police. The police have agreed that I will be issued a parking summons.”

Meanwhile, Ampang Jaya district police chief, ACP Farouk Eshak has issued a statement urging anyone with information on the incident to come forward and help with the investigation.

In the statement, he said that the 21-year-old man had lost RM1,000 due to the damages to his car.
