JPJ Receives Over RM3 Million In Bids For ‘SYG’ Number Plate

Looks like everyone fancies the ‘SYG’ vehicle registration number for their car, seeing as how JPJ Malaysia managed to collect over RM3 million!

According to JPJ director-general Datuk Seri Shaharuddin Khalid, “The SYG Sabah series opened for bidding at 12 am on June 10 and ran until 11.59 pm on Monday, June 15.”

“The department managed to collect RM3.4 million, and this is the highest collection so far,” he added at a press conference on Wednesday (June 17).

The ‘SYG 1’ drew the highest bid of RM115,000 followed by ‘SYG 9’ at RM70,000 and ‘SYG 8’ at RM52,000.

This was an increase of RM100,254 compared to biddings for the ‘ALL’ series in Perak, last year.
