An Indonesian street food vendor recently went viral on TikTok after his invention - an automated fried rice robot caught netizens’ attention!

According to The Crowd Review, TikTok user @revan.z22 shared a video of the street vendor cooking fried rice from his stall by stir-frying the rice using his right hand, while a robot he invented assisted him to mix the rice evenly.
The video has since garnered over 1.9 million views on TikTok at the time of writing.
The stall owner, Dartadi, works at the stall along the streets of Malang, East Java with his wife selling fried rice.
Apparently, Dartadi hurt his left hand three years ago in an accident and as a result, he was not able to move his hand around much.
Because of his injury, it was impossible for him to continue making big portions of fried rice which required two hands - one to stir and one to man the work.
However, giving up was not an option and he tried finding ways to continue cooking which drove him to build the robot that could help him stir the rice.
The only thing Dartadi has to do is to add in the ingredients and then let the machine stir the food.
His invention also paid off as he is able to cook more portions now and he has seen more traffic to his stall as it is now more widely-known as the “robot fried rice” with customers recognising him from social media.
