An 81-year-old elderly uncle went out to get dinner but ended up getting lost and rode his motorcycle 80km from Melaka to Johor.

According to China Press, the man, who lives alone in Ayer Keroh, took his motorcycle out on Sunday (June 6th) to get dinner but didn’t realise he was riding on the PLUS Highway and ended up in Muar, Johor.
What’s sad is that he had to spend the night at a bus shelter because it was already dark and he didn’t know where he was.
The next morning, the elderly man rode his motorcycle in heavy rain to a durian stall in Bukit Pasir, where he met a man named Yu.
Yu said that the uncle looked tired and had bloodshot eyes, and he didn’t even realise that he had travelled to Muar.

He asked the uncle how he could travel interstate, and the uncle explained that the police were on a break when he passed the roadblock.
Yu and his son made some hot drinks for the uncle and served him some breakfast before trying to contact his family, however, they did not pick up as it was an unknown number.
Determined to help the uncle balik rumah to Melaka, Yu sent a photo of the uncle’s IC as proof and managed to get hold of the uncle’s nephew.

After discussing with his nephew, Yu decided that he would send the uncle and his motorcycle back to his home in Melaka and went to the Bukit Pasir police station for an approval letter.
We are glad that Yu found him and that the uncle is now safely at home!
