Malaysia’s Twitter doctor, Dr. Amalina Che Bakri said that she has never endorsed any health products on her social media, and advised her followers to always seek a doctor’s advice instead of self-medicating.

On Wednesday (26 August), Dr. Amalina took to her Twitter page to warn her followers after her picture and quote was used to promote a health supplement drink without her permission.
The seller, known as Miera, had used a quote from Dr. Amalina to promote a juice that allegedly benefits people who have diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart problems.
She clarified that she had never endorsed any product and even shared a few screenshots of the WhatsApp messages on her Twitter.
“Someone reached out to me to inform me that someone has been using my name to sell their product,” she said.
“For Miera, I would like to ask you to please stop using my name because I have never endorsed any supplement product. Please follow your doctor’s advice if you have diabetes,” she said in the tweet.
She also advised her followers to not self-medicate and see the doctor instead, especially if you’re suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart problems.
Guys, please be responsible when selling a product and please don’t use someone else’s picture without their permission, it’s not okay!
