And the Oscar goes to… the most talented dog actor ever!
Did you know that dogs can fake an injury for attention? Yes, they do!
According to Mi Dog Guide, dogs do fake pain and injuries for attention and sympathy. In all cases, their ability to fake an injury is a fully learned behavior and it eventually becomes a habit. Well, the more we learn!

Some reasons dogs may fake a limp for attention include wanting attention from their owners, when they’re uneasy around other dogs, wanting food or a treat, or a toy. They might also do it as a way of getting out of doing something such as going for a walk.
How smart!
A video went viral recently of a dog in Perak that was caught faking a limp for attention.
The incident allegedly happened outside a grocery store in Jelapang, where a road user came across a limping dog and started taking its video.
The man who was recording the video wasn’t sure whether the dog was actually hurt so after a few seconds he decided to step out of his car to take a closer look. When the doggo finally received the attention it craves, it simply jumps up and walks normally again.
“I can’t believe I got pranked by a dog on the first day of Hari Raya,” his caption reads.
