Delivery Rider In Terengganu Chased By Tiger, Escaping Death

It was a normal day at work for this one delivery rider in Dungun, Terengganu until he came across a wild tiger and was almost attacked.

According to Berita Harian, 27-year-old Mohd Syafiq was face-to-face with the big cat at 8:40pm behind Taman Bersekutu.

He told reporters that he had just finished delivering food to a customer at a nearby residential area and used a shortcut road to return to his home in Taman Permint, which was about 3 kilometers away.

When he turned, he was shocked to see a 0.5 meter tall tiger emerge from a bush, attempting to “attack” him. He then accelerated his motorcycle at full-speed, hoping to get himself to safety.

Syafiq recalled the terrifying moment as he was chased by the tiger and he kept speeding until the tiger vanished from view and ran into his home, horrified.

He said the tiger was chasing him for about five meters until it was gone.

The tiger might have come from the Bukit Bauk forest which is not far from where the incident occurred. What’s scary is that the road is frequently used by locals from Jalan Lapangan Terbang and Kampung Sura, which could be very dangerous!

“When I got home, I quickly called my rider friends to tell them what happened and advise them to not use the road,” he said.

He also said that being chased by a tiger was an unforgettable experience, and that he would never use the road again, especially at night.

Though tigers are just big cats that love to play and chase moving things, they are still wild animals and can seriously harm you! So please, be careful around wild animals, okay?
