The former national badminton ace took to Facebook to share a short and sweet PSA (public service announcement), urging Malaysians to continue to follow SOPs, and leave your ‘takpe lah’ attitude at home!
“Friends, there are more and more cases. Remember to wear a mask (face mask) when going out. Follow the SOP. Scan (scan) MySejahtera. Don't get whipped!”, he wrote.

If you’re wondering what Chong Wei meant by “Don’t get whipped!”, he was referencing Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin, who on Tuesday (October 6th) joked during a special address that he will use a rotan on Malaysians who refuse to comply with coronavirus SOPs.
While netizens were wishing Chong Wei well on his post, they were also quick to notice he was wearing a custom-made face mask with his initials on it - LCW - and of course, started asking where they could get one.
