The Perak Muslim Clown Malaysia (MCM) group has taken the initiative to ensure that the public are abiding by COVID-19 SOPs at Ramadan bazaars.

MCM representative Nazirah Abd Rahman said that the group was motivated to conduct the physical distancing compliance campaign following concerns expressed by netizens on social media that many visitors failed to follow the SOPs that have led to some bazaars to face closure orders, as reported by BERNAMA.
“When I watch the news and read postings on social media, there are bazaars that have been closed for not complying with the SOP. I don’t want that to happen here.
“Our main mission is to ensure that visitors comply with the SOPs so that there are no Ramadan bazaar clusters,” she said.
Besides reminding the public to maintain physical distance, the clowns also distribute free face masks and ensure the public record their details at the entrance.
Nazirah also added that it was the first awareness campaign of such nature in Ipoh and it would be continued at the other bazaars in other states as well.
