Building a collection has been a popular hobby for generations, because… who doesn’t love to treasure hunt?
Comic books, stamps, photo cards, old coins, pins, keychains or postcards are all wonderful things to collect, and it will give you a hobby (or something to do) for the rest of your life.
And apparently, Jeram assemblyman, Mohd Shaid Rosli, loves collecting old bank notes!

Recently, one of his Facebook posts went viral after posting that he’s been searching for a particular Malaysian bank note… a RM1 note with a special signature, and he is even willing to pay RM1,000 to RM3,000 for it!
His post reads: “Check all your RM1 notes now. If it has a similar signature to this one, I would want to buy it for RM1,000!”
He also added that he would pay RM2,000 for the bank note if it’s in a good condition, and even RM3,000 if it’s in perfect condition, with no creases.

The signature on the bank note is actually from Malaysia’s shortest-serving Bank Negara Governor, Tan Sri Dato' Sri Ali Abul Hassan Sulaiman, who passed away in 2013. He is Bank Negara’s sixth governor and only served for two years before retiring.
Guys, hurry, check your RM1 notes, now!
