Check Out This Malaysian Film Director’s Spectacular Cycling Video

Those who love outdoor activities must be having a hard time being stuck at home. Well, this film director-cum-cyclist showed you just how much fun you can have while staying indoors with the power of your imagination!

Talented Malaysian director, Quek Shio Chuan, recently merged his two greatest passions, making films and cycling to produce a spectacular stop motion video of him braving through the many obstacles at home on his bicycle.

With the background audio of the Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s daily press briefing and a bicycle laid flat on his living room floor, Quek Shio used things around the house to recreate scenes of him cycling outdoors.

He used his cycling jerseys as tar roads where he would cycle on and butchered a few pillows to make clouds. Decked out in his cycling gear, he set up the camera on a broomstick and took a thousand selfies of him “cycling”, braving through rain and thunder, jumping through obstacles, sipping orange juice, enjoying a power bar, and last descending through the skies with rainbows shooting out of him.

He posted the video on day 42 of isolation with a simple message, stay sane.

His video on his personal Instagram has gained over 62 thousand views and have been shared across various social media platforms. Not only cyclists were impressed, but netizens poured in the replies praising the quality of the video and saying how much they have enjoyed watching it.

We don’t know how many times we’ve replayed the video but thank you Quek Shio for reminding all of us that anything is possible with a little creativity and superb imagination!
