If you didn’t already know, preschoolers and lower primary students are back to school today (March 1st) for the first time in a very long time for obvious reasons.
Social media has been flooded with cute pictures and videos of students getting their temperature checked and following COVID-19 SOPs before entering school grounds, but we found something even more heartwarming!
It seems some schools went above and beyond welcoming students back, and took the liberty to make a fun day out of it.
This morning, Twitter user, M.K Izzuddin (
@k_izzuddin) shared a scene from SK Kubang Kerian 3 in Kota Bahru, Kelantan, of
Transformers characters, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee making an appearance at the school to welcome students back.
The best part is it wasn’t long before his tweet turned into a thread, with netizens sharing pictures and videos from schools all over the country, that also brought in familiar characters to welcome them back.
Check it out!
Last month, the Education Ministry (MOE) decided to send this group of students back to school first, so that teachers can get them familiarised with the schools' SOPs.
It’s great to see students back in school, and good on these schools that decided to give them a memorable day!
