On Wednesday (September 8th), a red car was caught on a traffic camera knocking over a cyclist on Jalan Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur.
The footage has since gone viral on social media and it appears that the driver of the car was purposely trying to knock over the cyclist who was riding on the left side of the road, heading to Dataran Merdeka.

According to Sinar Harian, the 33-year-old cyclist was riding from Cheras towards Jalan Kuching when the car hit him from behind.
The driver did not stop and then drove away.
Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief ACP Sarifuddin Mohd Salleh said the victim suffered light injuries and later lodged a police report over the accident.
His bicycle was completely damaged in the accident.
The driver was tracked down and was brought to the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department where the police report was lodged, to assist with further investigations.
The suspect’s car was seized and is now being investigated under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 166/59 for failure to exercise due control over the movements of the vehicle.
