A 5-year-old girl who tested positive for COVID-19 recently, warmed Malaysians’ hearts over the weekend, after a video of her being sent off with medical officers alone went viral on social media.
In the video, posted by TV Alhijrah, the girl is surprisingly calm as medical officers arrive at her home to take her to hospital, while her mother and her exchange some very touching parting words.
Netizens had nothing but sympathy in the comments section, as they wondered what must have been going through her head as she had to brave quarantine without her parents.
It’s understood that the girl’s father had tested positive for COVID-19 just before she did, and he is still in quarantine.
Arrangements have been made for the girl and her father to be quarantined together at Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL).
It seems it has come to a point where everyone knows someone who has contracted the virus, so let’s do our part and stay home as much as we can.
