In an attempt to avoid being scolded by his parents, a 10-year-old boy who went missing for two hours claimed he was kidnapped by a man wearing a ninja mask.
According to The Star, the Johor Bahru South OCPD Asst Comm Raub Selamat said the police received a report from the boy’s parents about their missing son on Saturday (November 6th).

“The boy and his twin brother went to a grocery store near their house at about 3pm on Saturday.
“His twin went into the store while the boy was supposed to wait outside, but when the brother came out of the store after, the boy was not there,” ACP Raub said.
A member of the public later found the boy at about 5pm, two kilometres away from the store.
After he was safely reunited with his parents, the boy claimed he was kidnapped by a man wearing a ninja mask and was taken into a house but he managed to escape.
However, following further questioning by the police, the boy admitted that he had lied.
“He said that he was playing catch with another boy and had lost his slippers. He told his parents he was kidnapped because he was afraid of being scolded,” he said.
The case has been classified as no further action (NFA).
Ahh, that’s funny! But we’re glad he’s okay!
