Woman Is Going Blind After Colouring Her Eyes Blue And Purple!

Guys, take care of your eyes!

Your eyes are an important part of your health… and most of us rely on our eyes to see and make sense of the world around us.

A 32-year-old woman from Belfast, Ireland is apparently going blind after tattooing her eyeballs blue and purple, despite the warning of her 7-year-old daughter.

Anaya Peterson, a young law student and avid fan of body art influencer Amber Luke, who famously lost her vision for three weeks after getting a bright blue tattoo on the white of her eyes, is gradually losing her vision as a result of trying to imitate her idol.

The mother of five decided to get her own eyeballs inked in 2020, despite the advice of her 7-year-old daughter who worried about what might happen if she lost her sight.

In spite of having experienced headaches and dry eyes during the "healing process," Peterson decided to get her left eye tattooed just five months after getting her right eye tattooed in July of 2020.

The procedure seemed to go without a hitch, but after several months without issues, the Irish law student woke up in August of last year with swollen eyelids.

Anaya checked herself into a hospital because the swelling kept getting worse, and there, she discovered that antibiotics had no effect on the swelling. She had a biopsy performed on one of her eyes and was given medication via drip for three days.

The paint in her eyes has already had a negative impact on her vision and overall eye health.

Anaya claims that her vision has already significantly worsened and that an ophthalmologist informed her after inspecting her that she is at high risk of developing glaucoma.

The 32-year-old woman stated that she was "pretty much on the verge of going blind."

"I no longer have 20/20 vision. I can't make out facial features from this distance. I wouldn't be experiencing this issue if I hadn't had my eyeballs tattooed,” she told reporters.

Oh no!
