A volleyball coach has since made a public apology for his actions, which included slapping two teenage female players and garnering attention on social media.
The coach, Saiful Hadee Amar said he regretted his actions and only intended to raise his team’s spirit. According to him, it also serves to inspire the other team members who successfully earned a spot in the recent under-14 volleyball tournament in Kota Tinggi, Johor.

He added that he took every criticism as a lesson and accepted it with an open heart.
“It was never my intention to hurt anyone. I only did that to raise their spirits and to motivate them.
“I apologized to the players, especially the two players involved, and their parents,” the coach said, as reported by Sinar Harian.
On January 1st, the Malaysia Volleyball Association (MAVA) suspended the Melaka U-14 girls’ volleyball coach who was caught on video slapping two of his players.
In a statement, MAVA said it would investigate the incident which took place in December, as reported by Free Malaysia Today?
