A 20-year-old woman in Turkey was detained after it came to light that she had never studied medicine but had been employed as a doctor in a public hospital.
After graduating from highschool, Ayşe Özkiraz attempted to get into medical school because her family had always wanted her to be a doctor but she was unsuccessful.

However, she didn’t want to disappoint her family so rather than moving on, she told them that she had been accepted into the prestigious Capa Medical University and told them that she was pursuing a career as a doctor.
To keep her parents from finding out, she even fabricated her exam results and enrollment documents… which is only the beginning of her journey.
“My parents wanted me to attend medical school. They anticipated that I would perform well.
“However, I did not receive a score that would have allowed me to enroll in medical school. I prepared a fake exam result and showed it to my family when they asked to see my exam results,” she admitted.
According to Oddity Central, the young girl not only lied to her family but she moved into a dorm in Istanbul and revealed to everyone that she was a medical student. She also created a fake student ID card and began to hang out at Capa Medical University, mingling with real medical students.
One day, her mother fell ill and had to be taken to the hospital in which she began informing the hospital staff that she was a doctor. In order to make her lie seem credible, she used fake doctor identification cards, fake university ID cards and even claimed that she had graduated at the top of her class.

She also told the staff that she was 25-years-old when she was only 20.
Ayşe ended up getting an offer to work at the hospital which she accepted despite never having studied, much less practiced medicine.
The 20-year-old managed to pass herself off as a doctor somehow, but there was only so much she could do to maintain the facade.
The Tekirdağ hospital's doctors eventually started to suspect her because she kept avoiding or giving incorrect answers to basic medical questions.
The staff called the police after they realized she was lying about her training.
Police found a number of fake identification cards from many hospitals, as well as fake documents and scrubs. After being arrested, she eventually confessed to posing as a doctor for more than a year.
