Thai Police Criticized For Banning Food Vendors In Dinosaur Costume

Police in the Mung district in Thailand was criticized on social media after banning three food vendors from wearing dinosaur costumes while selling food at a road intersection. 

According to That PBS World, in a Facebook post by the district’s traffic police said they approached the vendors, telling them that their costumes could pose a danger to motorists and themselves, suggesting that they change what they were wearing.

One of the vendors reportedly explained that his costume was just a marketing gimmick to brighten up the atmosphere and increase sales. 

He insisted that it is an honest job, even though it’s a bit risky.

Netizens voiced their disagreement with the police saying that the vendors did nothing wrong and asked why the police don’t go after “real offenders.”
