The concept, described by the South China Morning Post, has captured the attention of diners and quickly gone viral on Chinese social media platforms. This fusion event, known as "Chinese Dim Sum WWE," transforms the restaurant into a wrestling arena, with a fully equipped ring placed at the heart of the dining area.

For an extra 388 yuan (RM239), guests can secure front-row seats to witness the action up close, making it one of the most popular dinner experiences in town.

In China, professional wrestling is often misunderstood as a form of martial art or sport, but it is, in fact, a carefully choreographed performance that blends athleticism with dramatic storytelling.

The matches unfold like an ongoing drama: Sam, a foreign wrestler cast as the villain, dominates the scene until Liu Xuanzheng, a local hero and seasoned wrestler, claims a dramatic victory. Liu, considered one of China's top wrestling talents, honed his skills abroad before returning to share his expertise.

Adding to the excitement, the wrestlers often break the fourth wall, engaging with diners during their meals. In one memorable scene, Sam and a masked opponent brawl outside the ring, even snatching dishes from tables to use as props.

The spectacle blurs the line between service and entertainment when a waiter surprises patrons by shedding his uniform to join the brawl, adding an unexpected twist to the evening.

What’s more, the participants, who range from an English teacher to a flight attendant, balance their day jobs with their passion for wrestling, united by a common goal: to bring the sport to greater prominence in China.

While professional wrestling remains a niche interest in the country, this creative fusion of dim sum and drama has gained millions of views online, proving that food and culture, even in the ring, make an unbeatable combination.
