Get ready to witness a spectacular celestial event, Malaysians!

According to the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation of Malaysia (MOSTI), a Hybrid Solar Eclipse is a once-in-a-decade phenomenon. It happens when the moon and sun are in a specific position, making it a very rare occurrence. And guess what? It's happening not too far away, near the Australian continent, but we'll still be able to witness it from our very own shores!

This Hybrid Solar Eclipse is so special because it involves all three areas of the moon's shadow - the umbra, penumbra, and antumbra. This means that all three types of solar eclipses - Total Solar Eclipse, Annular Solar Eclipse, and Partial Solar Eclipse - will be visible along the middle path of the eclipse. How cool is that?!

But wait, there's more! The type of eclipse we see depends on where we are located along the path of the eclipse. And lucky for us Malaysians, we're in the perfect spot to witness this amazing phenomenon!

So, be sure to mark your calendars and follow the social media pages of the Malaysian Space Agency - MYSA and the National Planetarium for the latest updates and information.

But before you get too excited, remember not to look directly at the sun's rays. Even if the sun is partly obscured, it can still cause severe damage to your eyes. So don't forget to prepare your eclipse glasses, folks!

It's time to gather your friends and family, pack a picnic basket, and enjoy the celestial show. Let's make this Hybrid Solar Eclipse a day to remember!
