A car that was parked in front of a home in Shah Alam, Selangor sustained a hole in its roof that is believed to have been caused by an explosive.
The owner, a 35-year-old man who was in his living room when his wife called him at around 3:50 am said she had seen sparks on top of their car.

According to NST, the Shah Alam district police commander ACP Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said the man, who works as a food delivery rider went outside and saw smoke everywhere. He then immediately called the police for assistance.
Police investigations found a hole on the roof of the car and believed that it might have been caused by an explosive since the metal edges of the opening were bent inward.
He continued, “Checks on the car found that there were no weapons of foreign objects nearby, however, witnesses said that they heard a loud explosion at around 3:50 am”
The Selangor contingent headquarters forensics team and the Bukit Aman bomb disposal unit conducted an investigation at the explosion site and discovered the bomb could actually be man-made by someone who is experienced in “bomb-making.”
Iqbal claimed that the explosion was started by an ignition technique since the police discovered a fuse that was used to ignite the explosion.
He added that the case is currently being investigated under Section 436 of the Criminal Code and that the police have recorded testimonies from 10 witnesses. He urged anyone with any information to get in touch with investigating officer ASP Mohammad Khairi at 012-2666025.
