The updated program targets participants between the ages of 16 and 35 and introduces various learning modules aimed at developing key skills and values. Adly shared that RM50 million has been allocated for PLKN 3.0’s launch, with the first intake slated for January.
Approximately 500 participants will take part in the pilot program across two camps, allowing organisers to refine operations ahead of a larger launch next June. Thirteen military camps, including locations in Kuala Lumpur and Pahang, have been earmarked to host participants as the program scales up. These facilities are currently undergoing refurbishments, with full operations expected across all camps by 2026.
Separately, through the PJM initiative, the Defence Ministry has renovated 10 homes in Melaka over the past 10 months. The ministry allocated RM138,500 to refurbish five homes in the Alor Gajah area, with additional renovations in Tangga Batu, underscoring its ongoing community support efforts.
Hmm… What do you guys think of PLKN coming back?
