Orang Asli Man Spends 2 Months At The Hospital Taking Care Of His Wife Who Is In A Coma

An Orang Asli man from Gua Musang, Kelantan has recently gone viral for taking care of his wife in the hospital every single day.

Despite being in a coma for the last two months, he is optimistic that one day his wife will wake up again…

According to Harian Metro, the 57-year-old devoted husband, known as Roslan Hek has been taking care of his wife at the Gua Musang Hospital who has been in a coma since she was admitted into the hospital over two months ago.

“After she got sick, I haven’t left her side. I keep praying that she will one day wake up again,” he told reporters.

His wife, who is 40-years-old was first brought to the Sultan Ismail Petra Hospital in Kuala Krai after she said that she was feeling unwell and has been experiencing excruciating headaches.

She was a patient there for three weeks before she was transported to the Gua Musang hospital where she is currently being treated.

The husband, and also a father of three says that he helps his wife clear her phlegms multiple times a day and also feeds her the hospital-formulated milk through a tube placed in her nose, “I also wipe her, change her diapers, clean out her pee.

“I haven’t left her side. I can’t leave her alone. I can’t rely on anyone else to take care of her,” he said.

He added that his wife uses around 10 disposable diapers a week and has spent sleepless nights worrying about money, “I had used my own money for all of my wife’s needs like her wet wipes and disposable diapers. I haven’t worked in over two months.

“I spend around RM200 a month for her needs, but I’m getting pretty worried now after looking at our savings. Maybe for some, RM200 is not much, but for an Orang Asli like me, our income depends on what we can get from the jungle.”

While he and his wife were at the hospital, his 21-year-old son has been taking care of their 12-year-old daughter while his eldest son, who is in his 30’s, has his own family to take care of.

What an amazing husband! We wish nothing but the best for you, Roslan!
