Hopefully the restaurant owner would take this time to improve and clean his restaurant first, before requesting for a new license!
A restaurant in Pandan Indah has received a Notice of Confirmation of License Cancellation (NPPL) from the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) after a rat was spotted nibbling on a fried chicken in a food warmer container.

According to the Malay Mail, MPAJ president Mohd Fauzi Mohd yatim said the immediate license cancellation was a response to the Ministry of Health (MOH)’s notice of closure which the Selangor Health Department had sent to the restaurant on 24 December.
“If it is found that the premises are still operating after the NPPL has been issued, action to seal the premises will be taken.
“Any request for a new license will only be taken into consideration if all requirements, particularly those relating to cleanliness, are fully satisfied,” he said in a statement.
Mohd Fauzi also said that the restaurant received Grade B ratings for cleanliness in June 2021 and January 2022, according to inspection records.
He also said that MPAJ regularly inspects food establishments to make sure they comply with all rules and regulations established by the council.
As of November 30th, 259 compounds had been issued under Sections 19(1)(d) and 9(f) of the MPAJ Food Establishment By-Laws 2007 and 1,057 food premises had been inspected.
Wah, what swift action! Well done, KKM and MPAJ!
