Potholes are one of the many dangers motorists could potentially face when on the road.

Running over deep potholes at high speed can damage your suspension system. Not to mention it can also dent your rims or cause low tyre pressure.

According to Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, motorists can do their part by reporting potholes or other kinds of road damage on Twitter using the hashtag #infrasel.

The user will have to upload a photo of the damaged road along with the hashtag, as well as hashtags stating the district and road name.

Many users have gone to Twitter to send in their reports and the Selangor infrastructure solution, InfraSEL account (@infrasel_kjp) can be seen replying to these tweets and posting repair updates.

If you plan on posting your own report, be sure to make your Twitter account public, otherwise no one will be able to see it!

This is not the first time the Selangor state government has done this kind of campaign, though. Back in 2017, the state government collaborated with Waze to report potholes via the navigation app.

Let’s hope this year’s initiative will have an even more encouraging turnout!
