The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a continuous rain warning at the alert level for Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and Johor.

According to the statement, continuous rain is expected over Kuantan, Pekan and Rompin in Pahang as well as Mersing in Johor.
On 3 November, it was announced that Malaysia would experience the Northeast Monsoon earlier than expected on Monday and it would last until March of next year.
During that time, between four and six monsoon episodes bringing continuous heavy rain could potentially occur.
