The Melaka state government is extending a generous offer to the public and tourists visiting the state on February 20th. Free admission and use of facilities will be provided at 10 popular tourist attractions, as reported by Harian Metro.

Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh, the Chief Minister, also announced complimentary parking across all Local Authority (PBT) areas in the state for those who drive to these attractions.
Among the attractions available for free admission is the Melaka River Cruise, facilitated by 15 boats stationed at three jetties: Jeti Pengkalan Rama, Jeti Taman Rempah, and Jeti Muara.
Other attractions welcoming visitors include the Menara Taming Sari (9 am to 5 pm), 21 museums under the Melaka Museum Corporation (PERZIM), and Melaka Zoo (10 am to 5 pm, on a first-come, first-served basis).
Additionally, Balai Cerap Al-Khawarizmi (9 am to 5 pm), Melaka Wonderland & Theme Park (6 pm to 10 pm), and Melaka State Marine Park (offering diving activity fees only) are open for exploration.
For golf enthusiasts, five Melaka State Golf Clubs are offering free green fees, while history buffs can visit Melaka Malaysia Prison Museum (9 am to 5 pm) and Malaysia Heritage Studios (10 am to 6 pm) free-of-charge!

In conjunction with the date, a special event commemorating the Declaration of Independence of the Federation of Malaya will take place at Banda Hilir. Festivities will include a re-enactment of Tunku Abdul Rahman's historic arrival, followed by ceremonial proceedings and a musical theater performance titled 'On the Ruins of Melaka City We Build a New Nation.'
This initiative aims to promote tourism in Melaka while providing locals and visitors alike with the opportunity to explore the rich cultural heritage and diverse offerings of the state.
