KTMB Launches Free Shuttle Bus Service Between Subang Jaya and Port Klang Stations

To ease the disruptions caused by the Klang Valley Electrified Double Track (KVDT2) project, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) is rolling out free shuttle buses for passengers along the KL Sentral–Port Klang route.

Starting Friday, 17 January, 22 buses will operate across key stations, including Subang Jaya, Batu Tiga, Shah Alam, Padang Jawa, Bukit Badak, Klang, Teluk Gadong, and Pelabuhan Klang. The service will run daily from 7am to 11pm, with buses arriving every 30 minutes.

Routes and Special Notices

The shuttle buses will cover five specific routes. Notably, the service to Padang Jawa Station (Route 1) will end at 12pm every Friday due to night market activities.

For stations with lower passenger numbers, such as Bukit Badak and Teluk Gadong, van services will be provided instead of buses to better cater to commuters.

Adjustments to Train Services Starting 20 January

KTMB has also announced changes to the KTM Komuter schedule for the Port Klang–KL Sentral Line. Trains will now operate every 30 minutes during peak hours.

  • Morning Peak Hours (Weekdays): Six trains will run between 6.03am and 8.33am from Port Klang to KL Sentral.

  • Morning Peak Hours (Weekends/Public Holidays): Services will start slightly later, from 6.33am to 9.03am.

  • Evening Services: The first evening train from Port Klang will depart at 5.41pm daily, including weekends and public holidays.

Encouraging Alternative Travel Options

Transport Minister Anthony Loke has advised commuters traveling between KTM Abdullah Hukum and Subang Jaya to use the Kelana Jaya LRT line or existing bus services for added convenience.
