Transport Minister Anthony Loke confirmed that all KTM Komuter stations along the Batu Caves–Pulau Sebang and Port Klang–Batu Caves routes will offer free rides starting from midnight on 10 February until 11:59 p.m. on 11 February. While commuters will not be charged, they must still tap their cards at the exit gates for record purposes.
"To streamline the process, all payments have shifted to a cashless system. This includes the KTMB Mobile (KITS) app, Komuter Link card, Touch 'n Go card, local bank debit and credit cards, as well as QR tickets issued at ticket counters, which will be free during these dates," said Loke.
To accommodate the anticipated increase in passengers, KTM Komuter will extend its services from 9 to 12 February. Additional trains will operate beyond regular hours, with departures from Pulau Sebang to Batu Caves at 9:55 p.m. and from Port Klang to Batu Caves at 9:30 p.m.

Furthermore, services from KL Sentral will run at 30-minute intervals, doubling the usual frequency. The Port Klang–Tanjung Malim route will also maintain a full schedule to ensure smooth travel throughout the Thaipusam period.
These arrangements are part of KTMB's commitment to providing safe, efficient, and accessible transport for all during this significant cultural and religious event.
