Johnny Depp is reportedly returning to the "Pirates of the Caribbean" films as the role of Captain Jack Sparrow, everyone’s favorite pirate.
The actor was previously dropped from the Disney franchise in 2018 as the producers wanted to inject “fresh energy'' into the films. However, executives wanted to bring him back, though on a $300 million contract that included a sixth movie and a Disney Plus spin-off series, as reported by the Economic Times.

After Depp won his high-profile court battle with his ex-wife Amber Heard in June, Disney reportedly expressed interest in having him return.
Even before the actor’s defamation trial against Amber Heard, a source told Poptonic that Disney had asked if he would be interested in returning for one or two more pirate projects.
The Sun reported that the actor will play the famous character Captain Jack Sparrow again: “Filming will start in early February of 2023 at a secret location in the United Kingdom. The project which is currently called ‘A Day at the Sea’ is still in its early stages, and a director has not yet been chosen.”
No one plays Captain Jack Sparrow better than Johnny Depp! We can’t wait to see our favorite childhood character back on the big screen!
