Ipoh-Born Actress, Michelle Yeoh To Be Presented With Honorary Degree From American Film Institute

Malaysian actress, Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh will be presented with a Doctorate of Fine Arts following her contributions to the American film industry.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Ipoh-born actress will be receiving the honorary degree from the American Film Institute (AFI) this August 13th during the AFI Conservatory’s commencement ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California.

Did you know that Michelle Yeoh has spent nearly 40 years in the entertainment industry?!

She also recently celebrated her 60th birthday and is currently receiving great reviews for her lead performance in the 2022’s film Everything Everywhere All At Once.

Other notable works in her filmography include Crazy Rich Asians, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, James Bond: Tomorrow Never Dies as well as Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
