Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar, shared the news, saying that the recognition is more than just a number or title — it reflects the unwavering dedication of doctors, nurses and medical staff who work tirelessly to provide the best care to patients, “This success belongs to every patient who put their trust in us, the families who stood by them, and the communities who appreciate the noble efforts of our healthcare heroes.
“May Putrajaya Hospital continue to be a symbol of excellence and a source of inspiration for medical institutions across the nation,” he wrote in a Facebook post.
According to the Newsweek and Statista listing, Putrajaya Hospital ranked 29th, with a score of 71.59%.
Former Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, also congratulated and thanked the HPj team for this achievement in a social media post.
He said this prestigious recognition was the result of a transparent and independent evaluation based on key parameters, including recommendations and assessments from fellow medical professionals, hospital quality metrics and patient experience: “This achievement is a testament to the ongoing commitment of every hospital member, from the frontlines to administration, in delivering safe, high-quality and patient-centred care.
“May this recognition continue to inspire us to uphold excellence and further strengthen HPj as the nation's preferred healthcare institution,” he added.
Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) was also recognised, scoring 84.97% and ranking fourth among 49 of the World’s Best Hospitals in Malaysia.
HKL led the public hospitals in the list, followed by University of Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC), Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) and HPj.
