An 11-year-old girl has been found dead at a house in Taman Bukit Tropika in Yong Peng, Batu Pahat, Johor.
Police said there were wounds on her forehead and bruises on her neck, suspected to be a form of physical abuse.

Johor police chief, Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat said the victim’s body was found at 4:55 pm last Thursday (July 14th), “Initial investigation found no traces of other injuries on the victim’s body.”
Witness statements have been taken to learn what had happened and the cause of the victim’s death.
The little girl’s body was taken to Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital for a post-mortem examination and to determine the cause of death
The victim’s 34-year-old mother was detained by police to help with investigations.
