The Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced a significant update regarding COVID-19 test result reporting. Starting July 15th, COVID-19 test results will no longer need to be uploaded to the MySejahtera app.
Instead, healthcare professionals will report these results exclusively through the eNotification system.

The eNotification system, utilised by MOH and all healthcare facilities nationwide, plays a crucial role in monitoring and disseminating information on infectious diseases within the country.
In a statement released on Facebook, MOH emphasised that this adjustment aims to streamline the reporting process and enhance efficiency in managing COVID-19 data.
Regarding COVID-19 confirmation tests, MOH specifies that they will be conducted using professional rapid antigen test kits (RTK-Ag), which are supervised or administered by healthcare personnel, along with polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests.
"It's important to note that these tests are intended for treatment purposes rather than screening," MOH reiterated.
Previously, MOH had announced changes in the management of COVID-19 cases, effective July 15, where individuals testing positive will be managed similarly to other respiratory infections.
This includes no longer issuing Home Surveillance Orders (HSO) or home quarantine directives.

MOH also clarified that these new guidelines extend to the use of face masks. Individuals confirmed positive for COVID-19 are encouraged to wear face masks, minimise social interactions, and avoid crowded places as part of preventive measures.
These measures aim to curb the spread of the virus and safeguard public health effectively.
