An eight-year-old boy in India but and killed a cobra after the reptile wrapped itself around his arm and sank its fangs into his skin.
According to The New Indian Express, the young boy named Deepak was attacked by the snake on Monday (31 October) in the remote Pandarpadh village in India’s central Chhattisgarh region. When the incident happened, Deepak was playing outside his family’s home.

The snake then bit Deepak’s arm after wrapping itself around it, potentially exposing the little boy to deadly poison.
The news portal said that Deepak tried shaking the snake off his arm despite his pain, but the reptile remained firm. The young boy then decided to bite the snake, which then surprisingly… killed the snake!
After finding out that their son was bitten by a snake, Deepak’s parents rushed him to a nearby medical center where he was kept under observation.
An examination of Deepak’s injury shows that he sustained a “dry bite,” which meant the cobra did not release any of its venom.
“Deepak didn’t show any symptoms and recovered fast to the dry bite when the poisonous snake strikes but no venom is released,” The New Indian Express reported.
Oh no, we’re glad the little boy is okay! That must be so scary for him…
