Their incredible journey reached its pinnacle as they secured the prestigious men's doubles championship at the Denmark Open badminton tournament in Odense, Denmark.

Their victory served as a testament to the indomitable dedication they have displayed over the years, as they overcame Indonesia's formidable duo, Shohibul Fikri and Bagas Maulana, in straight sets, with scores of 21-13 and 21-17.

This exceptional achievement marked their seventh appearance in a World Tour final.

Beyond the glory and accolades, this dynamic pair also claimed a substantial cash prize of USD62,900 (roughly RM300,000) and accumulated a remarkable 11,000 BWF points, propelling them to the pinnacle of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings.

For Soh, this triumph held profound significance, and he eloquently expressed, "It's truly special for us. We've been partners for five to six years, but this is our first World Tour title." His sentiments were echoed by his compatriot, Chia, who enthusiastically shared, "This marks our first World Tour title, and we are hopeful that many more lie ahead on our journey. The French Open is our next destination."

The acquisition of their maiden World Tour title has only fueled their determination and aspirations. Chia confidently declared, "Our enduring partnership has finally clinched a World Tour title. Naturally, we are eagerly anticipating the pursuit of more titles."

Their ambitions know no boundaries.

As they prepare to grace the courts at the 2023 French Open, taking place in Rennes until October 29, the entire nation watches with bated breath, inspired by their unwavering commitment and exceptional accomplishments.

Malaysians, without a doubt, swell with pride in the wake of this incredible achievement.
