They say modern football is a young man’s game, but apparently Zlatan Ibrahimović didn’t get the memo.
The veteran striker, who turns 40 later this year, scored twice in AC Milan’s 2-0 Serie A win over Cagliari this morning (January 19th).
It brings his tally for the season to 12 – a major contributing factor behind Milan currently sitting top of the Italian league standings.
More importantly, Zlatan’s goals are his first in 2021.
This means the Swedish star has now scored in every single one of the last 23 years that he’s been a pro footballer.
That’s a streak that stretches all the way back to his debut with Malmo in 1999.
Zlatan is also approaching another career milestone.
He now needs just two more goals to hit the 500-mark at club level, across his successful spells with Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, PSG, Man United, LA Galaxy and Milan.
Talk about unstoppable!
