On Tuesday (May 4th), Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that six districts in Selangor will go under the Movement Control Order (MCO), namely Petaling, Hulu Langat, Klang, Gombak, Kuala Langat, and Sepang from May 6th-17th.
And because of that, inter-district travels will not be allowed.
However, Minister of Science Technology and Innovation, Khairy Jamaluddin announced on Twitter that interstate and inter-district travel for vaccination purposes are allowed during the MCO,
His tweet read: “I have just clarified the issue with Minister Ismail Sabri and vaccine recipients DO NOT need a police letter to travel interstate.
“Individuals would only need to show their proof of vaccination appointment on the MySejahtera App, website or SMS,” he said.
The Ministry has also released an official statement on the matter.
So, don’t worry, guys, you don’t need police permission to go get your vaccine!
