Waze has just announced the launch of its Toll Price feature today, one of its most requested features! The Toll Price feature will allow users to view and compare toll prices on their routes to help better plan for their journey ahead of time.
With the new added feature, users can select their preferred toll route based on the price comparison and have the flexibility to choose different ETAS based on their preferred option.
This new feature was made possible to the extensive volunteer community compromising of over 30,000 monthly active map editors. Waze had six volunteers from the Malaysia Waze community to thank; namely Kadyus, Kweeheng, Rickylo103, EpailXi, Izuaniz and Lutfi_bihar, that helped collect and input toll price information. The six of them played a major part in developing their latest feature!
The Toll Price feature, compatible with high-occupancy-vehicle (HOV) lanes, is automatically enabled as users will see a Toll tag on the route if it includes a toll road. Drivers with a toll pass can also select this feature in the Waze app, which will be taken into account when routes are being generated.
