Two Bodies Buried In Tambun Landslide Have Been Found

Bodies of the two victims buried in a landslide at a hotel located in Tambun early this morning have been retrieved.

According to Free Malaysia Today, the two bodies, who were guests at The Banjaran Hotspring Resort have been identified as 39-year-old Ooi Chee Wei and 32-year-old, Lee Tze Jun.

Perak acting police chief, Goh Boon Keong said that the bodies were found by a search and rescue team near the jacuzzi area of the hotel.

The police received a call from the resort owner saying that a landslide had occurred at about 2:15 am, “A search and rescue operation was carried out immediately but was temporarily halted as there were still soil movements at the scene. The search resumed at 7 am today.”

The bodies have been sent to Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun for post-mortem.
