At 6.48am this morning (22 October) ITIS officials reported of a sinkhole on Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim.
The sinkhole affected the left lane and resulting in a jam from Semantan heading towards the Duta Tunnel.

As rush hour traffic added to the crawl, vehicles piled up from the Duta toll and Mont Kiara to the Duta tunnel.
The folks at Astro Radio Traffic also reported that traffic was affecting the entire stretch of the Sprint Highway from Damansara at 8.45am, and advised motorists to use alternative routes like Jalan Maarof to get to the city centre.

ITIS Officials have mentioned a 1 and a half lane closure until further notice and the roadwork to fix the sinkhole will take a while.
Traffic (as of 10.30am today) is still heavy from the Jalan Duta toll and from Bukit Kiara heading towards the Duta Tunnel.

So, for those of you who took the Sprint Highway or Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim to work today, and arrived a little later than usual, send this article to your boss for a valid excuse!
