Our country recorded 317 new cases on Saturday (3 October), marking the highest number of new COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began in Malaysia.

According to the Ministry of Health Director-General, Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah, the number of new cases is the highest recorded for a single day in the country.
Yesterday (4 October), 293 new COVID-19 cases were reported and almost all of them were local transmissions.

67 patients were discharged, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 10,283 with no new deaths reported.
There are currently 1,961 active cases right now.
