Health Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin announced the European Union (EU) has recognized the Malaysian government’s vaccination certificates, as well as the country’s Vaccine Management System and the MySejahtera system.
The European body’s approval proved that they were satisfied with the current system, The Star reported.

"Apart from the immunization certificate, they looked at the entire system."
He added in a press conference during a working visit to Perak on Monday (April 4th) that "they are satisfied with the system in terms of safety, validity, and convenience, which is at a standard required by the EU"
In a statement released Monday, European Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen announced the acknowledgment of Malaysian travelers' right to free movement inside the EU.
Malaysia has joined the EU Digital COVID-19 Certificate trust framework on April 4th, as a result of the decision.
According to Khairy, the recognition will now make it easier for Malaysians to go to the EU.

"All Malaysians need to do is present their MySejahtera profile. There will not be any issues.
"The system we created is approved by the European Union and the World Health Organization,” he added.
Khairy also stated that the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation is in talks with more countries to recognize MySejahtera.
